FESTIVAL DE CANNES 2018: COLOUR GOVERNS AND PLACES GIVENCHY AT THE TOP OF THE STAIR

This Monday 14th May, for the walk up the steps to the screening of Spike Lee’s film “BlacKkKlansman”, the sublime Cate Blanchett, president of the 71st Cannes Film Festival, chose to wear an outfit by Givenchy paying homage to the colours of life. A judicious choice that once again shows the talented actress’ confident and assertive positions; since for the crowd of splendidly dressed stars who each day climb to the conquest of the red carpet, Haute Couture is a powerful form of expression that leaves nothing to chance.

THE NOTED BRILLIANCE OF AN EXCEPTIONAL ELEGANCE

The fluidity of the flouncy movements, allied to the brilliance of the colours were brought under the spotlight by the grace and beauty of the Australian star. A brilliance celebrated by all the international press. It is a new charming asset for the various trades in French Haute Couture and their influence throughout the world, an art of elegance to which the young president is particularly sensitive. A lovely tribute to the love of our trade which Cate Blanchett celebrated on her birthday.

THE ART OF THE NUANCE & THE PASSION FOR COLOUR

Since its beginnings, the Atelier Dynale has stood out from others with its artistry and its knowledge of colouring techniques. Constantly creating new techniques, the atelier enriches its palette over time, figuratively and literally: a family expertise that develops with every project, as the art of colour is to be cultivated and nurtured with patience and passion. For these colourful masters, tomorrow’s nuances are invented daily. “To conceive worlds in colour and to enhance matter”, a motto that the atelier pursue relentlessly, in fashion as in interior design, in its creation of trends and universes.

A STUNNING CASCADE OF FLOUNCY DÉGRADÉS

The colouring of this design, from the Givenchy’s 2018 Spring-Summer Haute Couture collection designed by Clare Waight Keller, was produced for the occasion in our parisian atelier. Achieving this painted degradé placed on a flow of organza was the result of numerous research processes and of fine adjustment of colours until obtaining this perfectly nuanced cascading effect of luminous colours. Alexandre Leu and his team carried out the painting according to the specifications established with millimetre accuracy by Céline Sorigué. A multicoloured symphony, this work of many hands required flawless coordination, an art which the Dynale team masters to perfection. It is with pride and emotion that the whole of Atelier Dynale team delights in seeing the result of hours of passionate and demanding work dedicated to beauty and perfection put in the spotlight during such prestigious occasions.
