For the premiere in Los Angeles, Lady Gaga chose an outfit of mercury lace, designed for her by Givenchy, perfectly suited to the title of her film: “A Star is Born”.

The star’s Hollywood-style dess and matching cape provoked a sparkling of camera flashes – a well deserved success for Clare Waight Keller’s light and shining creation. Making this coat of light required numerous hours of work from many hands to create and effect worthy of the actress’ performance and of Givenchy’s expertise.
During the development and the creation of light effect of this lace work in our atelier, we worked at the heart of a kingdom of glitter and it was with delight that we powdered stars and scintillating touches to the ball gown of this modern day Cinderella.
